The Nothing

Remember in The Neverending Story how "The Nothing" slowly starting creeping into Narnia or wherever it was, and bit by bit this gray, whirling, windy nothingness destroyed everything in its path, almost including the Empress and her ivory tower? (BTW, wasn't the Empress so adorable with her little pearl thingy hanging on her forehead?? For years and years I wanted one of those. Maybe I still do. Just a little.)

The Nothing is consuming my blog right now. I have been busy with stuff but I cannot really think of anything particularly fun or interesting to write about. Maybe my head just isn't in the game the way it used to be. I have also gotten lazy about accepting offers from companies to promote their stuff. I want to do it, I do. But I am having a tough time sitting down and getting it done. Sorry, companies... I am working on it, hang in there!

The point is, don't give up on me, please. I am working on giving the Empress a name so that NeverLand can continue on and the Luck Dragon can live (Rrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhhh!!!!!)
LOL ok now that I am thinking about The Neverending Story and googling pictures of it, I am remembering how much I L-O-V-E that movie!! Classic. In every sense of the word. If it had more than one sense. Which I am not really sure if it does. But if it did, then yes- it is classic in every sense of the word.

Among my faves:

Say my name!! 'Bastian, pleeeease!!!
The Luck Dragon. Wait, Posh? What are you doing, get out of my blog!
The oracle. Run, Atreyu!!!! Whew! He makes it past without getting zapped. That was close!

Hellooooo, nurse! 1980's tween crush alert!

Awww, remember this cutie patootie?
"They look like such big, strong, hands...." Tsk, poor Rockbiter!!

Ahhhh....sigh.... what a trip down memory lane.... did you guys all love The Neverending Story when you were a tween in the 80's too? Did you dedicate your side ponytail to Atreyu?  Or was that just me....?

  2. Never seen it ... am I supposed to feel bad? I'm not sure - does the fact that I didn't grow up in the U.S. get me some sort of amnesty?

  8. So this is going to sound ridiculous...but honestly, this is one of the top 5 movies that actually scared the crap out of me when I was little! Maybe I should revisit it though now that I'm much, much older. Although since I am still scared of the dark it might not be a good idea.

  10. Maybe, Joe, but I am sure that you dedicated your red faux Michael Jackson jacket to the Empress, didn't you. ;)
