I decided to take the advice I was given in the comments of the dead plant post and cut off all the toasted bits. I fed the poor plant some plant food, slapped a cute bow on it, and hoped for the best.
Is that a peace lily? Couldn't really tell from the burnt bits. :) If so, avoid direct sunlight! Okay, too late, but you can also root them directly in a little pot of water. In case you don't see good results in the soil. I think if it's in soil, and very ironically, you should dump any excess water from the little tray on the bottom. I don't know why this causes root rot but they thrive in direct water! Okay, that's my 5 cents. Good luck.
The giveaway is closed to new entries! I will be selecting a winner at random and will notify the winner soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am doing a giveaway for a beautiful, sweet little girls' apron. It ties around the back, has buttons down the front and has a cute little pocket for your chef-in-training to keep their mandolin or their chinoise in. Or whatever else fits. As you can see, it is pink with white polka dots and white trim. The buttons alternate in pink and white. I made this myself, and I will make one for you too! Well, not really for you. Unless you are a child who is extremely adept at using a computer to visit blogs. Which there probably are some. But really, it is for your daughter, your granddaughter, your neighbor's daughter, your niece, your BFF's daughter, or any other little girl that you love enough to try and win this for. You can also see more pictures of the apron over at Airing My Dirty Laundry . Entering is easy. Ways to enter are: 1. F

But... it is also twice the work. Because of this, the sleepless nights and monotony of daily life tend to take their toll. Add into the mix 4 other children, whom I homeschool, and you get a mama who is in need of a good night out with friends. I have yet to attend a paint and sip studio, but I am kinda dying to get to one! The idea of relaxing with friends and having a chance to paint with something other than finger paints is very appealing to me right now. A little birdie told me that Pinot's Palette is opening a new location at one of my favorite spots - Town Square. In fact, it seems they're partnering with St. Jude's Research Hospital for their opening weekend on April 7th and 8th . I love a successful company that finds ways to pass on their good fortune, don't y
