Good As New

I decided to take the advice I was given in the comments of the dead plant post and cut off all the toasted bits. I fed the poor plant some plant food, slapped a cute bow on it, and hoped for the best.

Good as new, right?

  4. Is that a peace lily? Couldn't really tell from the burnt bits. :) If so, avoid direct sunlight! Okay, too late, but you can also root them directly in a little pot of water. In case you don't see good results in the soil. I think if it's in soil, and very ironically, you should dump any excess water from the little tray on the bottom. I don't know why this causes root rot but they thrive in direct water! Okay, that's my 5 cents. Good luck.

  7. Debi- no its not a peace lily. Its just a regular non-flowering house plant, one of the most common sorts.

Putz- You are right, it is probably going to die!! LOL
